Some can argue that cars are becoming too sophisticated these days.
One of the most common—and most finnicky—features seen on modern cars are foot-activated liftgates. Much to the chagrin to the very people they are meant to convenience, no matter how many times drivers who are struggling with heavy bags of groceries wave their feet under the bumper, it’s too many attempts before the liftgate actually opens.
The Subaru Outback comes optional with this feature too, and we cannot promise that it will work every time either. However, when the time eventually comes to kick the bumper in frustration as fruit begins to fall out of your bag, you won’t see a dent on that rear bumper.
You can’t always rely on technology. But you can always rely on a Subaru.
